Terms and Conditions for Spokane Preinspection

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the vehicle inspection services provided by Spokane Preinspection (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

2. Services Offered

2.1. Vehicle Inspections: We offer comprehensive vehicle inspections for various purposes, including but not limited to:
– Pre-purchase inspections for potential buyers
– Post-purchase inspections for new owners
– Inspections for sellers preparing to list their vehicles

These inspections may be conducted by Spokane Preinspection staff or third-party service shops that we partner with.

2.2. Add-On Services: We also offer oil changes and vehicle history reports (Car Fax) as optional add-on services.

3. Nature of Our Services

3.1. Inspection Scope: Our vehicle inspections are designed to provide an assessment of the vehicle’s condition at the time of inspection. We strive to identify visible and apparent issues with the vehicle.

3.2. Limitations: We cannot guarantee that a vehicle is entirely free from defects or will not experience problems in the future. Our inspection is not a warranty or guarantee of the vehicle’s condition.

3.3. Contract/Third-Party Inspections: Inspections are conducted by staff contracted to Spokane Preinspection or our partner service shops. While we select our contract and third-party partners carefully, we are not responsible for their actions or any damage that may occur during the inspection process.

3.4. Warranty: We warrant that our inspection services will be of professional quality and free from errors that materially affect the condition assessment of the vehicle. This warranty is limited to the cost of the inspection service.

3.5. Inspection Components: Our standard inspection service includes:
– Test Drive
– Code Pull
– Engine Compartment Inspection
– Underside & Chassis Inspection
– Tires, Brakes, and Suspension Inspection
– Exterior and Comfort Inspection

3.6. Deliverables: Upon completion of the inspection, we provide:
– A written report detailing our findings
– A comprehensive video reviewing our findings and recommendations

4. Customer Responsibilities

4.1. Information Accuracy: You are responsible for providing accurate information about the vehicle to be inspected, including accurate vehicle location, specifics, and seller.

4.2. Vehicle Access: You must ensure that the vehicle is accessible for inspection at the agreed-upon time and location.

4.3. Authorization: You must have the owner’s/dealer’s permission for the vehicle to be inspected.

5. Fees and Payment

5.1. Service Fees: Fees for our services, including any add-ons, will be clearly communicated before the service is performed.

5.2. Payment Terms: Payment is due at the time of service.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

6.1. Cancellations: Appointments can be canceled up until the time of the appointment without incurring any fees.

6.2. No-Show Fee: A $50 no-show fee will be charged for missed appointments.

6.3. Refunds: If you are dissatisfied with the service you received, you may request a refund within seven days of the service date. Refund requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

7. Liability

7.1. Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for any damages or losses resulting from your reliance on our inspection results.

7.2. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of our services.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

8.1. Data Collection: We collect and store customer credit/debit card information at the time of appointment booking.

8.2. Data Security: We take reasonable measures to protect the sensitive financial information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

8.3. Data Usage: The financial information we collect is used solely for the purpose of processing payments for our services.

8.4. Data Retention: We retain customer financial information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations.

9. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Spokane County, Washington.

11. Third-Party Service Providers

11.1. Use of Third-Party Providers: We may engage third-party service providers to perform inspections on our behalf. These providers are independent contractors and not employees of Spokane Preinspection.

11.2. Quality Assurance: We make efforts to ensure that our third-party providers maintain our standards of service. However, we cannot guarantee the actions of these independent contractors.

11.3. Liability: While we are responsible for the overall quality of our service, we are not liable for any damages caused directly by our third-party providers during the inspection process. Any claims for such damages should be directed to the third-party provider.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid under any applicable law, such unenforceability or invalidity shall not render these Terms and Conditions unenforceable or invalid as a whole. Such provisions shall be deleted without affecting the remaining provisions herein.
